Developing Community that will Demonstrate the Power of the Holy Spirit

When God begins moving to unveil the deepest mysteries of the Kingdom, we more easily understand truths from great heights of heaven where they relate to the foundations that our communities are built upon.  The more that we delve into the discovery of these hidden, spiritual truths, the more we find that they parallel what is already present in our natural lives.

The eyes of our heart become opened to see the things of the spirit through the ministries of Christ and the gifts of the Holy Spirit.   Where the gifts are reproduced by the spirit from one generation to the next, we see each expression of Christ more fully.
We likewise discover how the same gifts generate the Kingdom of God as a source of power.   Christ is seen in both forms of ministry!  One form reveals individual gifts within people, while the next form reveals the community needed to generate the power of the Kingdom through.    While the gifts of Christ demonstrate fruit in how they minister to a body, the same gifts become a generator that serves to convert one form of power into another form of power.

A study of the word, “power” in the Bible turns up some interesting facts.  In light of these truths, in relationship to how the Holy Spirit leads to demonstrate the word of God in power, the first sign of Holy Ghost power in our midst is that of illumination.

Luke 17:24
(HCSB)  24 For as the lightning flashes from horizon to horizon and lights up the sky, so the Son of Man will be in His day.

Luke 11:36  (HCSB)
36 If therefore your whole body is full of light, with no dark part in it, it will be wholly illumined, as when the lamp illumines you with its rays.”

Where the Holy Spirit is moving to develop a community of Believers to walk in demonstration of the Word, our vision begins being formed to see color beyond what is first illuminated through light and dark.  Teams, or fellowships, are developed "to occupy" each part of faith from one glory to the next.  Where we are building for these purposes, we see the first demonstration of the Spirit manifest in how the Holy Spirit begins to illuminate members and/or gifts.  The gifts (one horizon) serves to bring demonstration where there is illumination of the Spirit (another horizon).

Defining Power

A more extensive study of the word, "power" turns up several different meanings, all which serve to establish us in the Kingdom for different purposes.  FROM that which brings illumination, we begin team building in respect to the purposes that the Holy Spirit begins moving to accomplish.  After ILLUMINATION, the next demonstration of the Spirit that we normally witness is that of KRATOS Power.

Dominion is more fully developed in community through Kratos Power.  Kratos is defined as follows:

KRATOS Power

1) force, strength
2) power, might: mighty with great power
a) a mighty deed, a work of power
3) dominion

Revelation 1:
and made us a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—the glory and dominion (Kratos) are His forever and ever. Amen.
(HCSB)

Acts 19:
20 So the word of the Lord was growing mightily (Kratos) and prevailing.

(NASB)

From glory to glory, the next "power" that we begin seeing demonstrated through community is that of DYNAMIS, or Dunamis

power.

This glory begins resting on greater community to demonstrate the Lord of Hosts.

Dynamis power

1) strength power, ability
a) inherent power, power residing in a thing by virtue of its nature, or which a person or thing exerts and puts forth
b) power for performing miracles
c) moral power and excellence of soul
d) the power and influence which belong to riches and wealth
e) power and resources arising from numbers
f) power consisting in or resting upon armies, forces, hosts

Those who are being activated into this level of God's glory, or power, will make choices in excellence of soul (wholeness).  In doing so, we exert the life of the soul that is resident within the expression of community that we're building; whether it be that of family, church, marketplace spheres, etc.

Here, what began as manifestations of the Spirit begins to produce miracles within specific spheres of community.  Christ embodies the miraculous.  While healing is often involved, the miraculous often becomes the demonstration of ministry in respect to community.  The context of scripture that we see Jesus addressing miracles through is seen in the following text.

Matt 6:13 - And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  For Yours is the kingdom and the power (dunamis) and the glory forever.

Matt 11:21 -  Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida!  For if the miracles (dunamis) had occurred in Tyre and Sidon which occurred in you, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

Matthew 13:54

Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

Rejection at Nazareth

54 He went to His hometown and began to teach them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished and said, “How did this wisdom and these miracles (dunamis) come to Him?

Exousia power - 1849

Excousia power brings liberty, as well as a governing authority within specific jurisdictions.  Where exousia power is demonstrated, we often see change come to the structure of specific communities in what governs and builds them.  The sign of regal authority (a crown) is seen in exousia.

In all of these, we see the presence and function of Prophet, Priest and King.
The context of scripture that speaks of exousia power is as follows:

John 1:12

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power (excousia)  to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Luke 4:32

32 and they were amazed at His teaching, for His message was with authority (excousia).

Matthew 8:9

For I also am a man under authority (excousia), with soldiers under me; and I say to this one, ‘Go!’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes, and to my slave, ‘Do this!’ and he does it.”

From where you are presently, can you determine the area of ministry that God is cultivating in your life?  What about the areas of authority that you're being prepared in?  We seldom discern God's greater purposes apart from the community needed to cultivate these areas of ministry.  Without those who are sent to co-labor with us, we seldom enjoy the greater grace that releases us from glory to glory.   Beginning with rest, be blessed in knowing that all of these things are added to those who seek first the Kingdom of God.

Rediscovering Christ, From Glory to Glory

Many of us have been taught that Thomas Edison invented the light bulb in 1879.  Since the writing of our earlier history books, we've learned that there were probably more scientists involved in the greater work that surrounded the invention of the light bulb.  First of all, a light bulb requires a power source to supply the electricity needed to run the light bulb.  Once Scientists discovered that static electricity could be transformed into an electrical current, we were well on our way to progress.

Much like electricity, ministry is the conductor of power that is intended to supply the needs of our communities.  However, with so much diversity in the body of Christ, we often find it necessary to redefine the value systems that we desire to express.  Take the word, conductor.  This is not a word that we frequently hear being used in the body of Christ, if at all.  Yet, what defines the word, conductor, also defines several functions of ministry that we see in operation within the Church today.

Conductor:

  1. a person who conducts; a leader, guide, director, or manager.
  2. an employee on a bus, train, or other public conveyance, who is in charge of the conveyance and its passengers, collects fares or tickets, etc.
  3. a person who directs an orchestra or chorus, communicating to the performers by motions of a baton or the hands, his or her interpretation of the music.
  4. a substance, body, or device that readily conducts heat, electricity, sound, etc.: Copper is a good conductor of electricity.

From the order that ministry becomes activated through, to the order that brings greater demonstration of the smaller part, we see the same arrangement from beginning to end.  Even Webster’s Dictionary follows a pattern, or a spiritual DNA that we see present in how the foundation ministries build.

Regarding the definition of conductor, as listed above, we can use the same pattern of progression to show how ministry evolves in the saints.  The usage changes, but the pattern remains.  We find that as we progress from one administration to the next, the function of ministry may vary, but the spiritual patterns of the Kingdom remain.  This enables us to identify the Times and Seasons that the Holy Spirit ministers to a body through.  Replacing the definitions of "conductor" to be more conducive to ministry, the definitions help us to identify more with the works of Christ through the fruit that becomes present.  In doing so, the definition of Conductor would read like this:

Conductor:

1.  A person who conducts:   a leader, guide, director, or manager.

2.  One who employs;    to make use of an instrument (such as employing a hammer to drive a nail):  Where diversity is embraced, prophetic community is often the first fellowship that we see forming.  Corporate ministry becomes “employed”, or manifest where people carry the ministry within themselves.  In community, all must occupy the same ground together.  In order to accomplish this, all must labor together to mutually carry the ministries of Christ as a Priesthood.  When this is so, all “see the Father” in order to ACT on revelational truths as one corporate, unified body.  The Holy Spirit frequently uses such ministry to reveal unity in our members, as opposed to uniformity.

The Holy Spirit moves in Believers through prophetic dreams and visions that are mutually shared within a community.  Such community becomes the vehicle that corporate ministry is likened to in respect to dreams of vehicles such as buses, trains and planes.  However corporate the dreams and visions within a fellowship, each individual appropriates revelation in relationship with their own gifting and purpose.

When God is preparing his people to be mobilized, He gives us an understanding of the Kingdom that is mutually shared with a body of people.  The Koinonea fellowship that follows produces the mutual ground that all must occupy together.  Spirit-led ministry is always progressive, and the Holy Spirit will manifest ministry beyond the abilities of man.

The prophetic dimension prepares a people to walk together with vision in order to discern prophetic times.  Vision also equips us to discern Christ in his body where we respect a greater Priesthood, a greater order, or greater administrations of ministry.  Building apostolic community is accomplished where people are established in the Kingdom from faith to faith and from glory to glory in respect to their own spheres of influence and individual purpose.

3.   The Orchestra.  While basic ministry equipping prepares us through gifts, the same gifts used in right fellowship produces a spiritual sound that exceeds one individual part or gift.  Ministry that has been expanded or multiplied through community reveals the fellowship that empowers all to “hear the music“, or the sound of heaven.  It‘s much easier to learn to play an instrument where you can hear the song.   It’s also easier to discern the body where we hear all the instruments playing together.

4.  Christ, the substance.  Even as copper is a good conductor of electricity, Christ manifest in his body also conducts heat (glory), power, and the sound needed to  progress a body forward.

It seems that when the Holy Spirit is moving to prepare God’s people to launch out into the deep, the revelation of the Kingdom will often parallel something that is already present in the earth.  Jesus often taught the Kingdom by identifying with unilateral communities.   Even as he created metaphors through principals that each community mutually shared in, he likewise became the other side of the coin that served to bring the quickening spirit of the Second Adam, who is Christ.  In our rising in Christ‘s ascension, before God demonstrates his own strength, power and glory, we often see our own Adam nature.  Humility goes before honor.  In whatever level of lifestyle and community is being revealed, God is faithful to restore us to his original purposes.

From Foundation Builders to Engineers of Mobility

As with building any community, we must be careful of what we build on our foundations.  Any community that grows together will experience stress points that identify specific areas of growth.  Where one administration of ministry easily carries a grace for ministry for a season, the signs of the times will tell us when change is on the horizon.   Once the current we have enjoyed for a season suddenly becomes static again, it’s time to revisit Presbytery.

The Presbytery that is formed through Elder’s teams are not connected to any one person’s ministry.  Presbytery provides a venue for ministry that will reproduce after Christ in respect to the community that ministry is to serve.   In the fullness of times, where new growth and new fruit begins appearing, Presbytery provides the substance and presence of Christ to empower us to once again become Conductors of God’s power and glory for the purpose of producing greater ministry.

Thank you, Father for the strategy needed to bring all revelation to pass in this coming New Year….from glory to glory and from faith to faith.

Peace and blessings,

Cindy Allen

Road Work

Isaiah 58:12

 “Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins;
You will raise up the age-old foundations;
And you will be called the repairer of the breach,
The restorer of the streets in which to dwell.

..........................................................................

Years ago on one rainy day, I had a very unexpected experience on a road that I frequently traveled near my home.  Up until this incident, I believed this stretch of highway to be very safe.  With the road being well traveled within a small community, I had never heard any reports of any part of the highway being unsafe.

On this brisk fall morning, the roads were still wet from a recent rain and a fine mist was still falling.  All was going well when the conditions quickly changed as I was rounding a curve.  Suddenly, I knew the moment that my tires left the pavement and my Jeep began to hydroplane.  In the next moment, my SUV tipped and was traveling on it's left side.  In the next moment, my SUV came down on all four tires only to tip again towards the right.  My Jeep tipped and rocked two more times before it landed again on all four tires.  When it did, I began skidding sideways on the highway where I completely lost all control of my vehicle.  In the next moment, I skidded down the shoulder and was skidding alongside a wide path that paralleled the highway.  By this time, I had resigned to the fact that I was about to crash into one of the large pine trees that lined my path when suddenly, I came to an abrupt stop two inches in front of a large pine tree.

Shaken, all I could do for a few minutes was to sit quietly and try to regather my thoughts.  Suddenly, an elderly man appeared at the passenger side and began knocking loudly on my window.  When I let the window down, all he said was, "Twenty-two".  I was completely dumbfounded by his response to my near accident and responded, "What?  Twenty two?  What is twenty two?"  He responded by telling me that I was the twenty second person that he had witnessed wipe out on that curve in all the years he had lived there.

The bright side of the story is that after such a LONG and DRAWN OUT near accident, no one was injured.  There was no property damage and my Jeep didn't have so much as a scratch.  However, I was determined NOT to go along my way and wonder who "twenty three" would be.  Perhaps they would not be as fortunate as I was.    After all, accountability in such a case is not always on those who are traveling roads for the first time.  Accountability is more on those who have "made the trip".

Regarding the Kingdom of God, we experience very similar circumstances where we are seeking to mobilize two or more generations to walk together.  In one administration, ministry is all about equipping people in the gifts.  In the next administration, ministry is more about revealing the fellowship that the first Adam had with God in the Garden.  In fact, restoration is often towards repairing the roads or breaches between the generations that disallow this fellowship to occur.  God is a God of order.  We have to learn to eat of the whole pie, not just our slice or part.   It's no small thing to walk with God in fellowship...especially in the cool of the day!  We soon find that "eating from all of the trees of the Garden" brings diversity into our mix.

Enter, the Watchman!

However perfect the Kingdom is, we are an imperfect people who are continually having to test the quality of our output, which is our ministry.  If we're not judging ourselves to perfect our own product (ministry), chances are we may be judging others for what we produce or need to correct.  Discernment is needed!

I never had any unforgiveness in my heart whatsoever towards those who constructed the highway.  There wasn't an ounce of blame against anyone when I pointed out the part of the highway that needed to be built up.  My intentions were to see the low place raised so that rain waters didn't collect on the highway to cause anyone else to spin out of control when they traveled the same path; especially in difficult weather conditions.  If we become too absorbed in building the highway, or the ministry, we forget to build the people who are purposed to travel the highway.

Overall, we are a people navigating through uncharted waters.  As good as this is, in order to see the Kingdom come in it's fullness, we must embrace the building part that leads to fullness or fruition.  The seed is in the fruit.  Where one generation builds the foundations, the next will build the house.  If we don't see the fruit in our own ministry, chances are we won't see the seed of our ministry in the next generation when they're laboring to build at the next level.  God never advances one persons ministry;  He advances the generations.  When the two are interconnected, both prosper.

I have found that the work of Road Construction is greatly lightened by traveling the Ancient Paths.  For this, we need the Ancient of Days in our midst.  In such a fellowship, there is never any blame or accusation because those who are present have all been "fathered" through the same course.  Much like when the Hebrews were about to exit Egypt, who knows how the breach occurred 430 years ago?  The matter at hand is in how to heal the breaches and make repairs to a course that all must travel on together.

I believe Israel had it together through being a nation, but they didn't have revelation of who they were in God.  Even though they wandered in the wilderness for 40 years, they did make strides in leaving Egypt.  Because of Christ, we have the revelation of our own sonship.  We also have revelation of Christ in a many-membered body.  This, along with the knowledge of what it means to create the world that we live in, should never be hindered by a few Road Construction signs going up here and there.

When we give place for the Watchman to Watch and the Prophets to prophesy, we receive our meat in the grace of knowing that we are all in the same boat together.  Corporate ministry has no personal agendas.  No one person or branch of ministry can receive the blame for what the WHOLE are supposed to be building towards.  This is why Jesus gave, Apostles AND Prophets AND Evangelists AND Pastors AND Teachers.

Isaiah 58:12

 “Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins;

The Ascent: Bringing Many Sons to Glory

In the coming days, we should expect to begin seeing a release in the sons and daughters of God as they begin their ascent in their personal revelation of Jesus Christ.  Our solitude of personal worship of God becomes greatly multiplied when we begin seeing the same seasons of God manifest in a company, or a Priesthood.  The Lord of Hosts will begin manifesting Himself to the multitudes beyond what the Church has ever known in the past.  In return, our commitment to embody the move of the Spirit through a Priesthood is purposed to birth greater administrations of ministry.  (1 Corinthians 12:28)  The quickening spirit of the Lord becomes manifest through the corporate ministry represented in Christ through a Priesthood.

In order to begin seeing this come to fruition, Watchman and Prophetic Intercessors are needed to help birth the sons into Christ as they begin their ascent.  Our parameters are expanded to reveal Christ in order to give him place to be manifest on earth.  God’s primary purpose in these times is that the Kingdom would come to the earth where His (corporate) Son is manifest through a body.  There is complete restoration of all things in the glory of the Lord.  This ascent represents the saints rising in their stature in Christ and  is purposed to bring many sons into this glory.

Leaders, Gatekeepers and Intercessors

Even as God begins rising in the sons, the Holy Spirit will also begin moving among leaders to reveal the High Places where Gatekeepers need to be stationed and positioned.  Corporate revelation of Christ, as well as demonstration of ministry in his body, is quickened to us where the sons are released.  Discernment of the times operates in relationship to the generations.  Release the sons to experience the gifts of ministry being multiplied towards present truth as well as the administrations that ministry will be functioning through.

In the Old Testament, the “high places” are often spoken of in respect to man’s disobedience, pride, and false worship.  Inasmuch as the high places are the sum of false worship, many times they reveal false rule and dysfunction where generational iniquity governs the lives of people through family and community relations.   The Kingdom comes with intentional and willful choices.  We will see apostolic discipleship birthed where people have difficulty in times of transition.

Leaders will also be released in these times to discern the seasons, or administrations that are about to begin resting on God’s people.  We should not be alarmed or fear when we begin experiencing the presence of ruling principalities.  Ruling Elders are purposed to "keep" the high places in order to bring a shift in what governs the people on a spiritual level.

These are times to be humbled in the presence of God as we grow in the fear of the Lord.  Christ is all authority in both heaven and in the earth.  We don’t war with the enemy.  We simply manifest Christ in a corporate body of leadership where full counsel can be represented.

Grace and peace,

Discerning Our Path: The Race Reveals the Course!

Acts 20:24
But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God.

Ephesians 2:2
in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.

Watch for the Watchmen!

It seems that we are once again approaching some very crucial times that God has been alerting us to.  This is being seen in those who are presently resounding the cry of Watchman and Prophetic Intercessors to the Body of Christ.

First and foremost, we should understand that Watchman being restored to the Body of Christ is of great importance.  Without them giving warning of the snares and ditches that lie in wait for a body being propelled forward, the church would most likely overreach in times of transition.  A body that overreaches beyond it’s measure joins itself to that which is noisome to manifest the works of iniquity.

Watchmen and Prophetic Intercessors who are being fine-tuned to the Spirit seek to join themselves to a body who produces a prophetic “over-sound”.   Much like professional singers produce an over-sound through a harmonic balance with other singers, a prophetic company who is in sync with it’s members produces a similar sound in the Spirit.  The sound of heaven breaks fleshly barriers and serves to straighten those who are bowed over.

In transitional times, we seek to discern the nature of the spiritual structure or the house that is being built up or strengthened.  True intercessors are relational to sons in transitional times.  This is especially needed where people lack in revelation of their own sonship.  Where ministry gifts are being built up, we relate to the whole house of the gift(s) that we’re interceding for to guard against a divided house.  It is the same with family and community.

This kind of intercession has the potential to become very progressive and leads to much needed divine intervention in relationship to our nations.  Regarding Watchmen and Prophetic Intercessors, God often uses the Book of Ezekiel to impart His Spirit and the knowledge of His purposes.

A focal point of Ezekiel in lieu of the Prophet Isaiah

Ezekiel was a Prophet to a people of exile, while Isaiah was a Prophet to a people who still inhabited their land.   During the times of Isaiah, Zion had become corrupt and needed to be redeemed.

Ezekiel 1 - The Vision of Four Figures

1 Now it came about in the thirtieth year, on the fifth day of the fourth month, while I was by the river Chebar among the exiles, the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God.

Verse 4 says, “As I looked, behold, a storm wind was coming from the north, a great cloud with fire flashing forth continually and a bright light around it, and in its midst something like glowing metal in the midst of the fire“.

When God is moving to sanctify a people in specific areas of community and relationship, we often see a prophetic River form.  God purposes to manifest the prophetic times needed to prepare a people to cross over.  In doing so, revelation of these times give knowledge of a redemptive move of God.

In the past few years, Prophets have been releasing words that warn against what forms a confederate army of ’North against the South’.  We must be watchful to discern the times that God is moving to gather His people through.  We must also be watchful to discern times of transition in people’s lives.

Inasmuch as the global church body is “in Christ” through their knowledge of personal salvation, there are areas of lifestyle, family, and community where relational values are often in the midst of ruins.  Community is the bones all society.  The crooked places are made straight in the baptism of a prophetic Jordan River.  In such times, a people must be discipled to overcome and reach towards what will build, as opposed to what tears down and scatters.

A people who live in the knowledge of how to manifest Christ in the earth are able to take part of redeeming greater community from man’s fallen nature.   Intercessors who participate in such a move of God on behalf of redeeming His people, are given discernment of the  times that the Watchman is equipped through.  Watchman are alerted in how to occupy spiritual ground that has been gained in order to keep watch in future, progressive moves of God.

Are you one whom God is presently ministering to through the Book of Ezekiel?  Take comfort in knowing that you are one of many that God is raising for these purposes in this hour!  Just as God is gathering you for such a time as this, He will be your shield when the winds from the North begin to blow.

In His rest,

Cindy Allen

The Kingdom Factor

In commerce, a Factor is an agent or person who acts on behalf of another.  In this sense, the church is a Factor which acts on behalf of Christ in this world to bring the Kingdom of God to earth.

A factor is also an element or cause that contributes to a result.  One example of this is, "When applied to our sonship, ministry equipping is a factor of spiritual and emotional maturity, as well as character development".

In mathematics, a factor is a quantity multiplied by another quantity.  Another way of expressing this through the form of mathematics is, one of two or more numbers, or the like, that when multiplied together produce a given product.

For the later purpose given, we need to examine the integral parts that serve together to make the completeness of the whole.

The Teamwork Factor Within
 Full Counsel

Experience has taught us that the sovereignty  of God is the ultimate dominion and governing authority of all people and all nations upon this earth.  When God calls a body into any order of ministry, he will perform his word through those who faithfully stand on the word or part of ministry that is being developed.  The development of any ministry, especially that which is being restored to the body of Christ, is dependent upon the development of community.  Community is further developed through  the relationships of those who co-labor together  in respect to the same ground or stature in Christ.

1 John 2:27 speaks about how the anointing which we received from Christ abides in us and how we have no need for anyone to teach us.  It also speaks that as the anointing teaches us about all things, we abide in Him (Christ).  We find that in abiding in the anointing from faith to faith and from glory to glory, God is faithful to gather us with those of like kind.  Even before we've even seen the ministry that is being developed, God purposes that we would see it in a people.

Revelation is not exclusive.  New revelation should always serve to join us to a greater part of ministry that is presently operating within a global body.  However, we don't see other nations through the lens of ministry until we have matured as a nation within a church body.

The work of the ministry within the smaller local part that we directly relate with should open our eyes to see the greater part of the ministry in respect to the global body.  When all of the components of ministry are fitly joined together, the multiplication factor keeps us fully aligned to reap of the benefits through a body that is whole.  A body that is whole is always increasing in the works that Christ did.

From one harvest to the next, or from increase to increase, the Kingdom revealed IN us further serves to illuminate the form of the ministry that begins taking shape in the dawn of the new day.   Since I live in the United States, I shared a photo taken from satellite of the U.S. at night.

The image above emulates what occurs spiritually through progressive ministry activation within teams or apostolic council.  Those who serve to faithfully propel a body forward are well established in their own faith.  Before we can see color as shown in the photo to the left, we must be able to see what divides night from day.  Those who are faithful to emulate the Kingdom when darkness falls will also be faithful to color the landscape of greater ministry with wisdom.

I pray that we would be found faithful in our commission to make disciples of nations and to provide a venue of ministry that will serve to raise many sons to glory.

Matt 28: 18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

 Kingdom blessings,

Cindy Allen
