Disclosing the Synergy Between Apostles and Elders of the City

In the Book of Acts, Apostles and Elders are spoken of as being in counsel together six separate times.   Those who have built their lives and ministries in relationship with the Koinonea fellowship spoken of in Acts 2:42 knows that Holy Spirit ordination far exceeds the ordination of men.  Spirit led ministry first builds leaders through their gifts.  From the gifts, ministry is then built up through Kingdom community.  From Kingdom community, greater order and administration of gifts and ministries are raised up for the purpose of building cities, regions and nations. How else can we build cities apart from the ministries that serve to raise many sons to glory?  Clearly, ministry must be relational to include the destiny of the sons in respect to their sphere of authority within our cities, regions and nations.

Acts 16:4

Now while they were passing through the cities, they were delivering the decrees which had been decided upon by the apostles and elders who were in Jerusalem, for them to observe.

According to your faith, be it unto you!  (Matthew 9:29)

For some, faith is measured according to their personal testimony of Jesus Christ as Savior.  For sons, faith is measured through their personal testimony of Jesus Christ as Lord.  The first is born out of the Gospel of Salvation, while the testimony of sons is born out of the Gospel of the Kingdom.  The administration of gifts and ministries greatly differ from one Gospel to the next.

Leadership that is raised from sonship will bear witness of the faith of Elders in relationship to an office.  An office that is shared with others of like faith produces much greater synergy and demonstration of ministry as opposed to what the gifts produce through more personal, localized ministry.

The Hebrew word, 'emuwnah, is the only word for faith used in scripture in the context of an office.  The words truly and verily that Jesus spoke, are also used in this context of faith.  'Emuwnah is also defined as faithfulness, truth, stability, and steady.  In Exodus 17:12, where Moses' hands became heavy, they placed a stone beneath him to rest on while Aaron and Hur supported his hands.  "....and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun".  (Ex. 17:12)

Here, the word "steady" is used again in context with the Hebrew word, 'emuwnah, in relationship to an office.  In this context, an office simply identifies with those of like faith who serve to bring stability to the faith of others within the community that is being strengthened.  The building up of Five Fold ministry leaders and Elders is a progressive work where "faith to faith" and "glory to glory", is revealed from city to city, region to region and nation to nation.

Much is being said about the transitional times ahead for the church body.  These times are best understood through the Kairos, appointed times that reveal the higher realms of faith. Leaders are presently being called to gather themselves within an order of ministry that serves to build the relationships needed to "steady their hands" in the transitional times ahead.  Our ascension through the ministries of Christ in his resurrection life will be greatly affected by the company that we surround ourselves with.

Faithfully,

Cindy Allen, Founder

  • Eagles Landing is an apostolic network purposed to reveal and demonstrate the progressive order of equipping of the saints, Elders and Five Fold ministry leaders. The building up of the body takes place through present truth ministry that relates to the current times and progressions in our lifestyles and ministries.
